Define Users

This window is used to set up each user who will be accessing Moorepayhr and their associated job environments.

Prerequisites

  • Program Control option PYSLP, if a email payslip is to be generated for this user.
  • Prevar setting USER_ID_PREFIX to insert a prefix before the users login name.
  • Sysvar *PEOPLE_PASSWORD
  • Prevar setting *PP_DB_SYSTEM_SSL
  • Sysvar setting *SYSTEM SSL
  • Moorepayhr Group Profiles

Rules and Guidelines

  • One or more users are designated to be the Security Officer for Moorepayhr .
  • Optionally allocate the user to a Payrun environment
  • User profiles on the System i can be optionally created. The Sysvar option *PEOPLE_PASSWORD Position 7 must be setup to enable this function
  • Access to Manager Self Service can be created to allow users to access Self Service through the Moorepayhr Navigator.
  • Optionally attach a Moorepayhr Group Profile to users. This is used to control the look and feel of Moorepayhr , by using a theme.

Field Information

ClosedUser Type*

Use 'Standard' for Manager Self Service (MSS) user.

Use 'Employee' for Employee Self Service (ESS) user.

ClosedID Number*

Enter Employee ID to be attached to this user profile. This is mandatory for ESS users.

ClosedLogin User Name*

For each user you are establishing, enter a valid login user name. User name can be up to 80 character. It is not case sensitive (i.e. the system will automatically convert it to uppercase).

ClosedApplication User Name*

Enter a valid application name or allow the system to generate one (auto-generate).

ClosedProfile Status*

Select from the prompt list:

Option Description
Enabled This will enable the user profile
Disabled This will disable the user profile

 

ClosedGroup Profile*

This field displays the group profile to be assigned to this user profile.

ClosedAccess Profile*

This field displays the access profile to be assigned to this user profile.

ClosedSecurity Profile*

This field displays the security profile to be assigned to this user profile.

ClosedBusiness Email

This field displays the employee's business email address.

ClosedPersonal Email

This field displays the employee's personal email address.

ClosedAdministrator

This indicates that the user profile can create another user profile.

Select from the prompt list:

Code Description
C This is for the UK window.
I This is the current standard window.

 

ClosedAccess to User Types

Select from the following options:

Code Description
A All user types
E Employee only
S Standard only

 

ClosedSecret Question and Secret Answer

This field displays the user's secret question and answer. The first time the user logs on to the application, he/she will be forced to enter a secret question and answer and both will be displayed on this window.
